Step Back in Time at Upper Canada Village
August 19, 2021 | Morrisburg, ON
Step back in time to the 1860s. Visit Upper Canada Village and experience authentic buildings that make up the village, the activities that each housed, and of course the people who lived there. It is one of the largest living-history sites in Canada. The village features over forty historical buildings, including homes, functioning mills and trades workshops. Traditional farming techniques are demonstrated through the growing of heritage vegetables and raising of heritage livestock breeds. Aspects of the late 19th-century social life, music, religion and politics are discussed and demonstrated by knowledgeable staff dressed in clothing of the period. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Harvest Barn, Willard’s Hotel (advance reservations are suggested), or Village Café.
