The Beautiful City by the Bay

After being transported to the Ottawa International Airport by the Howard Travel team and boarding your flight, you’ll soon arrive in San Francisco or as it’s known by locals “the City by the Bay.” That evening, mix and mingle with other travelers during an exclusive dinner on Pier 39. The following day, you’ll have a choice to either embark upon an hour-long sightseeing cruise of the bay or hit the streets with a local tour guide. Both tours provide ample looks at the city’s landmarks, like Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge or Seal Rocks.

Cities by the Sea

On Day-3 of your trip, you’ll travel to Carmel-by-the-Sea, a quaint and creative California town boasting some breathtaking nature preserves and marine habitats. You’ll then pass through Del Monte Forest on famous 17-Mile Drive, considered one of the most scenic coastlines in the world. Arrive in Monterey, where historic buildings and John Steinbeck’s famous Cannery Row sit nestled amidst humble, Spanish-colonial style homes. The following day, visitors will find themselves in the palatial mountaintop retreat of Hearst Castle, in San Simeon. Built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, the enormous estate (parodied by director Orson Welles in Citizen Cane) boasts 165 rooms and 127 acres of gardens, terraces, pools, and walkways.

A Trip to Tinseltown

After heading south to Santa Barbara and stopping for an evening, you’ll arrive in Tinseltown. Take a walk down the Hollywood walk of fame and visit historic TCL Chinese Theatre, then head for San Diego for the last and final leg of your all-inclusive vacation. Visit diverse neighborhoods like the Gaslamp Quarter and Old Town San Diego, then celebrate a successful trip with a farewell dinner among your fellow travelers.
